Description
Shiroebi swarms in Toyama Bay's unique submarine canyon "Aigame". It is small, about 6 centimeters in length, and is known as the "Jewel of Toyama Bay" because of its translucent pale pink appearance immediately after being caught. The sight of it reflecting the sunlight on the deck of a fishing boat is truly a beauty worthy of being called a jewel. After that, the color begins to change to white, and by the time it reaches the beach, it literally turns into a white shrimp. It is the privilege of fishermen to be able to admire the fleeting and disappearing jewels.
